Bike Hut news
Posted: - 09-03-2010The Bike Hut is situated in the Malahang reserve , corner Southern and Oriel roads. The hut was opened during the school holidays with many young people coming down to get free bike maintenance , BBQ lunch and generally hang out. On Friday the 26th of Feb the Skate park was officially opened. So get down there to check it out.
Clean up Australia Day
Posted: - 09-03-2010Clean up Australia day is Sunday 14th of March, come give us a hand. Neighbourhood renewal is partnering with Olympic Village primary school and Banyule city council to clean up the school and the shopping centre. Meet us at the primary school from 10am to register. Local residents making a splash
Posted: - 09-03-2010Excercising in warm water is a great way to keep active and healthy. Arthritis Victoria is offering local residents an oppurtunity to trial the benefits warm water and gentle excercise can offer. It does not matter what age you are, or if you have done these excercises before, you just go at your own pace. Come and join a group of local people-strengthen your body, grow your confidence in the water and make new friends. Everyone in West Heidelberg is welcome. The classes are every Wednesday at 12pm at the Olympic leisure centre 12 Alamein road Heidleberg West 3081 They go for 45 minutes and cost $2 a class. On behalf of WOWH ,Betty Dodd would like to invite all women of 3081 to come along to our celebration at the centre Ivanhoe Saturday 13th of March.
